Advising the International Finance Corporation (IFC) on the potential US$850m structuring and financing of Mexico’s indirect potable reuse water project, to be developed by ASSUR in Nuevo León, aimed at strengthening water security in one of the country’s most water-stressed industrial regions.
Advising the Water Operator Agency of Los Cabos (OOMSAPASLC) on (i) the structuring, development and financing of a PPP project to build, operate and maintain for 25 years a desalination plant with a capacity of 250 litres per second in Los Cabos, Baja California Sur, partially funded by FONADIN, and (ii) the structuring and development of a 10-year PPP project to implement an integrated water resources management (IWRM) system in Los Cabos, known as MIG, aimed at enhancing the efficiency and reliability of the potable water supply in Cabo San Lucas.
Acted as Mexican counsel to the lenders in the project financing of the Cuxtal II natural gas pipeline, developed by Energía Mayakan (ENGIE Group), advising on the Mexican law security package, accounts structure and VAT financing facility.
