Recently bolstered by its July 2024 absorption of González Calvillo, the Mexican team at Madrid-headquartered Pérez-Llorca is equipped to assist multinational and domestic clients with a range of regulatory mandates relating to pharmaceutical, food, drink and cosmetics products and medical devices. The group is well-versed in the management of authorisations issued by COFEPRIS, the review of research protocols and regulatory compliance review relating to the storage, distribution, labelling and importation of medicines and medical devices. Leadership of the team is split between counsels Enrique Muñoz Guízar and Carlos Fernando Castilla. Muñoz Guízar specialises in environmental law and regulatory matters relating to healthcare, natural resources, and consumer protection; Castilla handles dispute resolution, environmental and regulatory law. Senior associate Georgina Zavala handles environmental, life sciences and health-related regulatory matters. Since publication, Muñoz has been raised to the partnership - effective as of January 2026.
