Dumont’s IP department is geared towards contentious and regulatory trade mark and patent mandates, and is adept at advising clients on patent prosecutions and licensing, alongside trade mark litigation, portfolio management and applications. The team’s activity spans the pharmaceuticals, technology, automotive and other regulated sectors, in jurisdictions across Europe, the US and Latin America. The team is jointly led by Laura Collada, who has 30 years’ experience in trademark registration and unfair competition matters; Israel Escobedo, an expert in IP litigation; Christian Thomae, who is well regarded for his track record copyright and trade mark prosecution and management; and patent attorney Victor Garrido, who has an extensive background in patent litigation, registration and transactions. Other core members of the team include associates Ariadna Gálvez, who handles IP disputes, transactions and prosecutions; Mauricio Galindo, who is also notably active in IP litigation; and Edith Rivero, who handles patent filings and licensing matters.
