The intellectual property practice at ClarkeModet México advises clients – particularly those from the telecoms, pharma, chemicals and other regulated sectors – on the full spectrum of trade mark, patent, industrial design, domain registration and copyright matters, along with plant variety work, as well as IP contracts, brand protection and entertainment law, litigation and dispute resolution, and AI, data, and new technologies. The office has experienced some turn over in its senior ranks, with the July 2026 departures of former CEO, Lorena Rodríguez, and former trade mark director Mariana García, and the subsequent appointment of the incoming Martín Pereyra as regional managing director, and Alfredo Pineda as trade marks and legal services director; the pair arrived as part of the absorption of the former Nieto & Castellá, S.C. in September 2026. Other key figures include November 2025-hire, Aurora López-Portillo, who is well-versed in contentious IP matters, including those pertaining to licenses, copyright and patents; senior IP consultant Claudia Márquez; central services director Roman Soto, who has has over 20 years’ IP experience; and – on the patent and industrial design front – inventions directorAngélica Pardavell, who is a chemical engineer. Former regulatory affairs manager Diana Bojorges moved in house at Moderna in April 2026.
