Establishing itself in Mexico via its July 2024 absorption of González Calvillo, the Mexican team at the Madrid-headquartered Pérez-Llorca advises issuers and underwriters on global securities offerings, as well as assisting AFORES and other institutional investors with the issuance, exchange and delisting of CKDs, FIBRAs and FIBRAs-E. The practice is co-lead by Bernardo Reyes Retana, who specialises in banking and finance, capital markets, private equity and M&A transactions; and José Ignacio Rivero Andere, who handles M&A, private equity and capital markets mandates. Strengthening the senior team, Jacinto Ávalos, whose practice is focused on capital markets, corporate and insurance law, was promoted to the partnership in January 2025. Counsel Alberto Bustamante advises banks and companies on financings, acquisitions and private equity investments, as well as the preparation of contracts.
