A&O Shearman leverages its transactional strength in cross-border projects across the traditional power, nuclear and renewables sectors. The team is led by Troy Edwards, who advises on the development of privately and publicly financed energy and infrastructure projects; Jocelyn Land, who specialises in infrastructure privatisations, acquisitions and refinancings; and Lorraine Bayliss, who assists export credit agencies in facilitating energy projects. Michael Diosi focuses on the energy transition, particularly hydrogen and the battery mineral value chain, while Chris Andrew acts for financiers and sponsors on conventional and low-carbon power projects. Xue Wang, who arrived from the firm’s Tokyo office in May 2024, and Alex Chenery bring experience advising both sponsors and lenders on major projects.
