CMS advises on a broad range of matters in the TMT sector, including transactions, disputes and commercial contracts, and also acts for lenders on project financings. The team has experience in cross-border litigation, including advising a major global technology company in a complex claim involving competition and licensing issues. The wider group is now led by Matthew Bennett and Anthony Waller, who are driving the firm’s TMT strategy forward. Bennett is especially active on outsourcing, procurement and commercial projects, while Sam De Silva is well regarded for his work on software licensing and cloud services. Rebekah Hayes is another active contributor to the practice. Former head of TMT Clive Gringras departed in December 2024.
