The group at Shoosmiths LLP harnesses expertise in advising owners, developers, funders and contractors on significant hotel developments; assisting on leisure schemes and related redevelopments; and advising restaurants and bars on various issues. Leeds-based practice head Richard Symonds has considerable hotel sector experience, which includes advising on commercial, employment and regulatory matters in particular. Real estate finance specialist James Salford joined the team in London in April 2025.
