Represented claimants in high-value, high-profile litigation valued at approximately £36 million, arising from two contracts with Uniserve Limited for the manufacture and supply of 80 million face masks procured for the Department of Health during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Acting for approximately 75 individuals across two group actions against Barclays and the Bank of Scotland, with the claims centred on the unenforceability of the appreciation mortgages sold by the banks. The claims are advanced under Section 140A of the Consumer Credit Act 1974 on the basis that the terms of the finance product created an unfair relationship between the banks and their customers.
Represented a shareholder and director in three interconnected High Court proceedings (valued at between £20 million and £30 million) against his business partner, encompassing a derivative claim alleging breach of fiduciary duties in relation to a German sister company with an annual turnover of €13 million, and a £9.5 million dividend claim for unpaid dividends.
