Selborne Chambers is 'very strong in property litigation'. Nicholas Trompeter KC appeared in London Trocadero (2015) LLP v Picturehouse Cinemas Limited, a longrunning dispute between the landlord, Trocadero, and its tenant, Picturehouse Cinemas, concerning the application of insurance rent; the court ruled that the landlord must repay overcharged insurance rent to the tenant. In a separate matter, Gary Blaker KC is representing the claimant in Bootle v GHL Property Management and Development Ltd & anr, a trespass and boundary dispute arising from the cutting down of a prominent number of trees, bushes and vegetation along a 120 metre boundary running between two properties in Lancashire. In March 2025 Romie Tager KC retired from practice, and Justin Kitson KC was elevated to silk.
