Among the senior end of chambers, Hugh Davies OBE KC acted for West Yorkshire Police in an inquest into the suicide of Anugrah Abraham, a trainee police officer who was found dead in woodland in March 2023, which involved allegations of discrimination and bullying. Turning to the juniors, Genevieve Woods, unled, appeared on behalf of a private probation service provider in an inquest into the death of Christopher MacGillivray, who was found dead shortly after his release from prison, which addressed issues such as division of responsibilities between prison and probation services and sharing of information regarding mental health and the risk of suicide following release from prison.
