Milbank has taken significant strides forward in Latin America M&A, private equity and growth equity transactions. Traditionally wedded to the energy and infrastructure sectors, it now operates across multiple industries and geographies. With its strong connections to the region, it has landed a series of sizeable engagements from the Argentine market, while building its standing in telecoms and digital infrastructure deals; it advised Allianz X on its participation in a $300m Series E investment round conducted by Ualá, the Latin American neobank based in Argentina. Mexico, Colombia and Peru are also key markets for the Latin America team. The Latin American team continues to advise a large number of private equity sponsors and financial investors, such as Actis. Native Spanish speaker Francisco Nuñez has made a big impression on the market in recent years and is primarily focused on Latin America. John Franchini is co-head of the global infrastructure group and frequently handles deals for Actis and other financial investors in Latin America. Aaron Stine and Dean Sattler (who is the leader of the global corporate M&A practice group), are also experienced partners on Latin America deals. All named individuals are based in New York.
