Trinh Hoang leads the international finance group at DLA Piper. The team primarily handles lending, structured finance and cross-border finance matters, in particular those with an energy, ESG and sustainability focus. Hoang specialises in special situations financing, distressed debt and private credit. She also handles cross-border restructuring within Europe and Asia. Naomi Hong is another key contact; she is an expert in Chinese and Japanese investments in energy and infrastructure projects. Matthias Schemuth relocated to the Singapore office in early 2024, while Paul Lee retired in March 2025.
