Lexincorp‘s banking and finance team remains active in advising both regional financial institutions and international lenders on their operations in Honduras. The practice routinely handles regulatory authorisations, credit structuring and due diligence in connection with cross-border financings and local acquisitions. It is also well equipped to advise on project finance, reflecting the firm’s strong focus on infrastructure, energy and telecoms matters. Engels Zelaya, who brings to bear extensive experience in the public and energy sectors, leads the team alongside Nora Amaya. Office managing partner Benito Zelaya continues to play a supporting role in major mandates. The firm saw a number of new faces join in January 2025, including associate Tannia Castro, previously a freelance adviser, who is well versed in tax and banking law.
