Vukmir & Associates' dispute resolution practice is led by, among others, the highly experienced Ivan Ćuk. Recently engaged by the Republic of Croatia acting as acting as an intervening party in a high-profile dispute initiated by the Republic of Slovenia, Ćuk was the first Croatian attorney to ever appear in a hearing before the General Court of the EU. The firm’s contentious practice reflects this quality, with the practice subsequently engaged by the Republic of Slovenia to represent Slovenian fisherman in several thousand cases related to the border dispute at sea between the Republic of Slovenia and the Republic of Croatia. In other matters, the practice has been working on significant public cases such as acting for the Croatian Performers’ Rights Collecting Society, in a high-profile copyright infringement case against the largest Croatian telecom company, and a French Internet-based music streaming service. The practice is also one of the only Croatian firms with particular expertise in patent litigation.
