The growing tax practice at Cuatrecasas added nine new clients during 2024/25, including Macquarie Bank and Patria Investimentos. The firm’s signature finance offering is reflected in its work for banks, fintechs and investment managers, while it also advises construction, energy and technology companies. Team head Jaime Vargas is recommended for domestic and international tax planning, and transaction and investment structuring. He is supported by principal associate Juan Sebastián Bustillo and senior associate Nathalie Medina, who focus on tax litigation and tax planning, respectively. In August 2024, principal associate Diego Torres left to study abroad.
