Lauded for its ‘superb knowledge of Colombian law’, Lloreda Camacho & Co.’s litigation team is distinguished by its close relationships with clients from heavily regulated industries, particularly the life sciences, telecoms, energy and infrastructure spheres. TMT specialist Gustavo Tamayo co-heads the practice and recently led on litigation involving contractual liability, breach of contract, product liability and unfair competition claims, among others. Carlos Carvajal co-heads the practice and is noted for public law-related work. The team also includes senior associates Jimmy Buenaventura and Esteban Isaza, both of whom advise on dispute resolution and insolvency. Former department co-head Christian Pérez left to establish his own boutique in November 2024.

Work highlights

Represented D1 in a case brought by one of its landlords, who sought to amend a tenancy agreement to impose a higher rental fee and establish a different duration than initially agreed.
Represented McCann Erickson Colombia in three tort complaints stemming from an air crash, alleging damages and seeking compensation based on its contractual obligation to co-ordinate air transport for athletes.
