In a major boost to its data privacy offering, Ecija Colombia absorbed two-partner privacy and data protection boutique Vanegas Morales Consultores in September 2025. The Bogotá office of the Madrid-headquartered international firm is now uniquely positioned to advise domestic and multinational clients on local and cross-border compliance, administrative investigations and contentious matters. Department head Stella Vanegas Morales is a go-to expert in data protection law and is serving a second appointment as Director of ADAPRI, the Colombian Data Protection Association. Next-generation privacy specialist Alejandro Londoño is also recommended and leverages extensive hands-on experience gained during a five-year stint at the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce of Colombia (SIC), where he advised the Superintendent for Personal Data Protection.
