During 2024/25, the growing competition practice at Advocat continued to increase its share of the market, adding a raft of new clients in the retail, TMT, life sciences and fintech spheres, among other sectors. Competition and technology partner Victor Ayalde Lemos heads the group and is well versed in advising on merger reviews, compliance issues and administrative proceedings. The team also draws on several associates including litigator Juan David Gonzalez, who was promoted to practice co-ordinator in December 2024; and junior Maria Fernanda Pinzón, who joined from Holland & Knight in January 2025.
