CEPD enters the rankings following the September 2026 arrival of the entire venture capital team formerly at DLA Piper Chile. The team is led by well-known figure Matías Zegers, whose experience encompasses investment funds, venture capital financing, the structuring of financing products, and applying for public funds; he also excels in corporate, M&A and fintech matters.  Zegers is flanked by practice directors Pilar Paredes (whose practice sits at the conjuncture of M&A, private equity, capital markets and fintech), and Pilar Ay (whose practice encompasses corporate structuring and governance, and company and investor-side venture and debt financings, along with AI, blockchain, SAFEs, private investment fund formation, and M&A.). The team further includes two knowledgeable senior associates, José Ignacio Marín (financing rounds and business development issues) and Vicente Sáenz de Santa María (business expansion and internationalisation), and is rounded out by junior Jacinta Irrázabal.
