The real estate and infrastructure team at mid-sized firm CEPD ‘combines technical knowledge with a practical, commercial approach’. Fielding specialists in urban planning regulations, the nine-strong group advises on a wide range of real estate industry sectors, including residential, commercial, industrial, agricultural, logistics, hospitality, social housing and infrastructure. The team is also sought out by multiple clients to act before both Chile’s authorities and courts to obtain or maintain project-related permits. Other key areas include infrastructure project-related due diligence on land, negotiating easements, long-term lease agreements, land purchases, and construction contracts; recent mandates include advising Inmobiliaria Bahía Mágica on its $60m Playa Blanca project, a 400-hectare tourist complex. The department is co-led by firm founder and urban and territorial regulation specialist, Antonio Dittborn, who assists with structuring and developing major real estate projects (his expertise also includes permitting issues, regulatory compliance, and the resolution of legal and administrative disputes); and  Sebastián Aninat, an adviser to developers, investors and financial institutions on project development, who ’stands out for his sound judgement, strategic vision, and ability to lead with a practical approach’. In the associate group, Camila Aranda focuses on structuring, developing and marketing real estate and infrastructure projects; and Sofía Lama ‘provides an extraordinary service’.
