Prieto Abogados’ real estate practice covers housing and commercial construction projects, as well as the retail, energy, food and infrastructure sectors. In addition to advising on day-to-day issues, the group’s real estate and urbanism expertise includes the acquisition, development and construction of real estate projects, along with due diligence processes, tax planning, financing, land use and environmental law. A January 2025 recruit from Chilean engineering and construction company, Besalco, senior associate and real estate project development expert Tomás Landeta currently leads the firm’s real estate practice; while fellow associate Benjamín Vicuña I advises on title studies, land acquisitions, environmental impact assessments, construction, permits, regulatory matters, financing and sales. Providing partner-level support, Fernando Samaniego focuses on infrastructure and real estate disputes. Former director Alejandra Bañados left the firm for an in-house role in September 2024.
