The projects and infrastructure practice at Guerrero Olivos 'has established itself among other firms thanks to the talent, energy and commitment of its younger partners.' The group advises a roster of multinational clients on project development, acquisition, finance and permitting. Demonstrating expertise in the financing and development of capital-intensive energy and infrastructure projects, the team is particularly strong in renewable energy matters, advising clients such as Engie, Canadian Solar, Innergex and CIP; and handling solar, wind, green hydrogen and battery storage systems. The group is also very active on other large-scale projects, including desalination plants, transport infrastructure, and public works such as hospitals. In the past year, the practice has led on major deals including representing a consortium of nine banks as lenders on the $883m financing of the Aconcagua Project. Practice head Clemente Pérez is a standout expert in energy and infrastructure, especially PPPs and public bids; drawing on his public works' expertise, he handles strategic mandates in renewable energy, transport and social infrastructure, and regularly leads teams on transactional due diligence for foreign investors. Sebastián Abogabir is a go-to for non-conventional renewable energy, with deep regulatory and environmental expertise. Known for his 'direct and personal involvement in the work', he has advised on a landmark desalination project and led key financings. Miguel Coddou is a finance expert and routinely advises international lenders on syndicated loans and DCM instruments. Benjamín Novoa is especially active advising on the financing and refinancings of renewable energy projects, particularly representing major international banks and financial institutions. Felipe Frühling focuses on solar, BESS and hydrogen projects, and recently advised on Latin America’s first industrial green hydrogen mandate. Raised to the partnership in January 2025, Francisca Pellegrini specialises in energy project development, environmental studies (including permitting), and agribusiness matters.
