The eight-strong projects group at Abogados MLV focuses on the development, financing and sale of public and private projects. The practice has significant experience in construction litigation, frequently representing clients before government entities, regulatory bodies and arbitral tribunals, as well as counselling on infrastructure projects (particularly those in the mining and energy sectors) as well as public concessions such as highways, hospitals, and airports. The team additionally collaborates with the Chilean Chamber of Construction to provide strategic advice on public policy. Practice co-head José Manuel Valencia specialises in construction and infrastructure litigation, public works contracts and mining disputes; while fellow lead Alfredo Vial Rodriguez has expertise in construction, project development and public procurement. Álvaro Mendoza Negri focuses on civil, commercial, and tax law, advising on infrastructure projects. Associate practice director Cristina Santibáñez Boric is a litigation specialist with accumulated expertise handling civil infrastructure disputes; while associate Nicole Camilli Santiago, also a litigation specialist, focuses more on contentious administrative matters in relation to infrastructure, public procurement, and construction.
