The eight-person team at Urzúa‘s projects and infrastructure practice is focused exclusively on the legal lifecycle of infrastructure and construction projects. The practice’s sector-specific expertise covers engineering and construction disputes, procurement, contract drafting and negotiation, claims’ management and arbitration, across all stages of project development and operation. The team advises owners, engineering firms, construction contractors and EPCM agents in sectors such as mining, energy, desalination, aquaculture and industrial infrastructure. Recent clients include infrastructure and projects developer, Elecnor; energy and resources company, Worley; and consulting firm, Andes del Sur, on work involving over 20 energy transmission projects. The firm is led by founding partner Cristián Urzúa, who leads on all mandates, and is recognized for the depth of his technical understanding and experienced litigation capabilities.
