The four-member group also acts in significant claims, particularly in relation to property, energy, environmental issues, and business interruption policies involving the construction, mining, financial and retail sectors. It has also recently expanded its expertise to encompass cyber risks; and routinely acts in coverage-related insurance litigation before both commercial courts and arbitration venues. Major carriers mandating the international law firm’s Santiago office further benefit from its enviable global network; the Chilean branch is regularly involved in cross-jurisdictional matters involving the UK, US, Europe, Mexico, Argentina, Colombia, New Zealand, Hong Kong and the UAE (among others). The group is co-led by Rodrigo Hayvard, an insurance and reinsurance expert who has notable in-house experience and ’excels at sound judgement’; and Gian Carlo Lorenzini, a specialist in defence-side insurance disputes, as well as consumer protection, arbitration and civil and commercial litigation. Former senior associate Daniel Silva departed the firm in November 2024.
