Advising at all stages of energy and gas projects, HD Legal's experience ranges from investments, project development, financings and acquisitions, to hydro, PMGD (small distributed renewable generation projects), wind, solar, unconventional non-renewable energies and fossil fuel power plants. The eight-member team also covers transmission and distribution projects, along with obtaining concessions, permits and licenses. The group is led by Gonzalo Delaveau, who has substantial experience in projects concerning energy generation, renewable energy, and electricity transmission and distribution. The department also includes engineering and construction practice head Juan Ignacio Peña, whose career includes working at large Chilean engineering company ALFA; while at director level Mauricio Riesco advises on energy, mining and infrastructure projects. Fellow director Juan Ignacio Marin, whose workload covers regulatory and environmental law; and associate Antonia Recher, who focuses on renewable energy projects, are August 2024 hires from Marin Asociados.
