The dispute resolution practice at Marinovic & Alcalde Abogados is ‘extremely effective and delivers the results clients seek’. The five-strong group has significant experience in civil and commercial litigation, and is particularly focused on liability and compensation actions involving Chilean and international companies from the mining, real estate and agriculture sectors. The practice also covers corporate governance litigation, while additionally being sought out to handle disputes over unfair competition, industrial property and trade secrets. The department’s principal figures are Enrique Alcalde, a specialist in disputes involving construction, engineering, M&A, and oil-and-gas, as well as corporate governance issues; and Nicolás Marinovic, whose civil litigation caseload covers contractual liability, torts and real estate leases. The next line of experienced practitioners includes labour law expert Cristobal Agustín Muñoz, along with experienced associates Sebastián Lara Bohle and Estefanía Klima Golborne. Former partners Benjamín García and Tomás Ruiz-Tagle departed the firm in December 2024 to co-launch their own practice.
