Dispute resolution boutique law firm Ovalle & Bulnes Abogados is now known as Ovalle Abogados, following the May 2025 departures of former partners Jose Tomas Bulnes and Oscar Lihn to establish their own practice, taking associate José Ignacio Jara along with them. Particularly focused on domestic and international commercial arbitration, the group’s recent mandates include high-value, construction and project-related disputes. The 11-strong department also covers contractual and shareholder conflicts; and regularly acts for Chilean state-owned copper mining company, Codelco, in major commercial disputes. Esteban Ovalle is a former Carey partner, whose recent experience includes serving as arbitrator in seven cases in relation to real estate, construction, maritime and commercial law issues; Ignacio Figueroa, in turn, acts in construction and inheritance disputes. Other movements during 2025 include the recruitment of Nicolás Del Real Castillo (previously a Bofill Escobar Silva Abogados associate) as partner, while former associate Martín Fuentes departed the firm.
