Jana & Gil Dispute Resolution's 20-strong group is widely respected for its national and international arbitration credentials, including both commercial and investment treaty disputes. The team routinely acts under a range of arbitration rules, including International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL), and London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA) matters, as well as American Arbitration Association (AAA) and Santiago Chamber of Commerce (CAM Santiago) proceedings. The practice is also mandated to assist with ad hoc disputes. Co-leading the team at founding partner level, Andrés Jana and Rodrigo Gil are both spearheading the firm’s representation of the Republic of Panama, in a claim brought by Italian industrial group WeBuild over the expansion of the Panama Canal. Other practitioners to note are Francisco Grob, whose investment arbitration experience includes assisting the Republic of Honduras with seven high-profile cases that were brought by international investors before The International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID); and early 2024-raised partner Victoria Demarchi, who acts on a range of international disputes. Arbitration associate Constanza Petit recently rejoined the firm, further to an LLM at Columbia University and working for a year as an international associate for New York-headquartered firm Debevoise & Plimpton LLP.
