Serving a primarily multinational client base in the technology sector, TozziniFreire‘ IP practice brings together deep expertise in both technology and IP law. The team regularly advises on internet-related IP issues, including domain names, digital technologies, and the IP dimensions of data protection. Trade mark prosecution is a core component of the practice, which also offers support in copyright and trade dress matters. A significant portion of the team’s work is transactional, covering IP due diligence for M&A deals, and the drafting and negotiation of licensing and assignment agreements, including those for technology transfers. The practice is jointly led by Marcela Waksman Ejnisman and Carla do Couto Hellu Battilana; Ejnisman is a key contact for IP transactions and contentious matters, while Battilana focuses on trade mark registration and technology transfer agreements. Stephanie Consonni de Schryver, recently promoted to partner, advises on a broad range of IP matters, including BPTO-related prosecution.
