Founded in 2010 and then further significantly consolidated in 2020 via its merger with Dr Jorge A Díaz-Blanco Patents and Trademarks, DAK is a specialised full-service IP firm. It handles a full range of both traditional matters – such as trade marks, patents, copyrights, designs and geographical indications – and more recent market segments such as domain names and technology, along with contracts, licenses and litigation. Founding partners Carlos Arze Díaz, Pablo Kyllmann, and Octavio Alvarez Cechelero all have over 20 years’ experience in intellectual property matters; recent work includes ongoing work for Pepsico on various trade mark applications that have been opposed by Grupo Bimbo.
