Younity offers an all-round service in HR law, encompassing employment, pensions, civil servant-related issues, compensation and benefits, and business immigration. The firm provides strong involvement in M&A support work, often subcontracted by major Belgian and international law firms, enabling the team to work on international matters. The team has strong pension expertise, often advising major insurance companies and banks, and it also acts as compliance officer for several large pension funds. Also of note is the group’s expanding public law, privacy, and GDPR practices. Jean-Philippe Cordier and Corinne Merla spearhead the practice; the former’s client base includes Belgian and multinational corporations, while the latter focuses on occupational pensions and state pension plans. Brecht Cops is another active member of the team and often handles the employment aspects of corproate transactions.
