Marval O’Farrell Mairal's fintech practice is focused on guiding its clients through Argentina’s evolving regulatory and legal landscape and the feasibility of introducing digital assets and other products into the country. The team assists companies during regulatory investigations instigated by provincial and national authorities for alleged non-compliance with financial, data privacy, and consumer protection regulations. Day-to-day operational matters - such as advising fintech businesses on registration, licensing, customs, tax, IP, and litigation - are also regularly handles by the group. This is aided by the firm’s strong relationships with banks, brokers, insurers, and regulators. Practice head Juan Diehl Moreno advises on regulations affecting blockchain and crypto assets, digital banking and loans, and e-payment platforms; key assistance is provided by associate Pedro Colaneri.
