Described as ‘experts in the mining field with extensive experience’, the team at Beretta Godoy advises local and global companies on securing mining titles, rights, and exploration permits. The team also negotiates and drafts contracts, including option agreements, structures cross-border deals, and provides environmental due diligence and tax planning advice. The department is headed by of counsel Federico Godoy and ’excellent’ managing partner Juan Sonoda, who are both energy and natural resources specialists and are active in foreign investment matters, project structuring, joint ventures, and dispute resolution in the mining sector.
