Who wants to screw up a win-win-win arrangement?
Unsurprisingly, European regulators.
Imagine that one person provides the vast majority of your food
for twenty years. For free.
And now imagine that this person profits from this act because
her work with you and many others allow her to be recognized as the
greatest food distributor. Sounds like a good deal for both,
right?
If you are French, you might say, "I resent the fact that
my food provider, despite giving me free food for decades, also
benefits. How do I grab her benefits? I know, let's charge her
for the right to give me free food!"
Zut alors.
My parents would have called this "biting the hand that
feeds you."
