Jim Bikoff,
Holly Lance and
Courtney Adams have successfully recovered multiple domain
names on behalf of client Wawanesa Mutual Insurance Company through
the National Arbitration Forum (NAF) using the Uniform Domain Name
Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP).
In
Wawanesa Mutual Insurance Co. v. Feng JIECHEN, FA1605001673384
(Nat. Arb. Forum June 17, 2016), the NAF Panel held that the
WAWANESA.NET domain name was confusingly similar to Wawanesa's
name and mark WAWANESA, and that the registrant had registered and
was using the domain name in bad faith because it had actual
knowledge of the client's prior rights in the trademark. Read

In a case concerning
WAWANESA.US, Wawanesa established its prior rights in the name

redirect users to competitors' websites and phishing schemes
was not a bona fide offering of goods and services
