The Physician-Focused Technical Advisory Committee (PTAC) is accepting comments until October 14, 2016, on a draft Request for Proposals (RFP) for physician-focused payment models (PFPMs) and draft guidance on characteristic of payment models likely to be recommended by PTAC.

Draft RFP: The draft RFP indicates that any individual or organization may submit a proposal. PTAC is proposing to require a letter of intent to be submitted at least 30 days prior to the proposal, a page limit of 20 pages (although appendices for additional information are allowed and do not count towards the page limit) and the proposal would need to be submitted at least 14 weeks in advanced of a PTAC public meeting. Submitters would be required to provide an overview of the model and a narrative describing how the payment model meets the PFPM criteria proposed by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
