Sarah Klosek was featured in the Insights article
"Path to the Marketplace." While the full text can be
found in the Spring 2013, issue of Insights, a synopsis is
noted below.
Sarah Klosek originally planned her career path to include
getting her doctorate, doing lab research, working as a teaching
assistant and writing journal articles, that is until she took a
molecular biotechnology course which discussed patent law. The plan
then changed, with her taking a detour to law school.
Klosek is now on the other side of the lab, working as a patent
attorney, but says she is still able to satisfy her love of
teaching. "When you're going through the process of
writing a patent application with an inventor, you're having to
educate the inventor a little about the information you need from
him or her to craft the application," Klosek says.
