Ukrainian commercial legislation includes several provisions which variously regulate the procedure for the sale of shares by shareholders.

On December 23 2004 the Cabinet of Ministers approved Decree 1716, which sets out regulations on the official fees for IP protection. The decree will enter into force on February 5 2005.

The adoption in July 2005 of legislation relating to the import, export and production of laser discs is a significant development in the field of Ukrainian IP law, as it represents the first legislative step towards compliance with the requirements for Ukraine's accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO).
