The board of the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (Commission) has made a finding against seven suppliers of fish fingerlings in Zambia, for engaging in cartel conduct.

The Competition and Consumer Protection Act, No. 24 of 2010 governs competition and protection against unfair trade practices in the country.

Although the use of trademarks, as a means to distinguish the goods of merchants and manufacturers, dates back to antiquity, the emergence of service marks is significantly more recent.

A minimum of approximately USD 800 in paid up share capital is required.
