The Croatian Government is preparing to establish a comprehensive system for screening foreign direct investments (FDIs) by adopting the new Act on the Screening of Foreign Direct Investments (the "Act").

The European Commission's autumn forecasts, published on 4 November 2014, projects weak economic growth for the rest of 2014 within both the EU and the Euro zone.

September 2025 – The Croatian Government has introduced the Draft Act on the Screening of Foreign Investments, which is currently undergoing public consultations.
