Sustainability-linked loans have become increasingly common in recent years, and the Loan Market Association (LMA) has responded to this by publishing model provisions for sustainability-linked loans.

Alike many of its equivalents in other European countries the Finnish Companies Act provides for an obligation and right of the majority owner, holding more than 90 per cent of the share capital and total number of votes, to purchase minority holdings through a so called squeeze out procedure.

Amendments effective as of 1 July 2005 have been introduced in the Finnish Securities Markets Act, Act on Financial Supervision, and certain other acts (HE 137/2004).
