    Electricity Market Act: Proposed Priority Procedure To Significantly Change New Electricity Network Connections In Situations Of Scarce Capacity

    Finland's Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment is preparing urgent amendments to the Electricity Market Act that would fundamentally reshape how network operators allocate scarce grid capacity. The proposed priority system would rank connection requests into four distinct groups, with electricity storage facilities receiving the lowest priority while small consumption sites and critical infrastructure secure top placement.
