On 10 January 2013 the Government adopted a regulation on „Establishment of the minimum wage rate" which will apply retroactively from 1 January 2013.

Minimum monthly salary levels have risen 2.9% over minimum salary rates in 2020. The new minimum wages are in effect through March 2, 2022.

According to the facts of Supreme Court judgment No 2-18-6908 of May 2020, the employee filed a claim against the employer for salary and holiday pay.

The subsidies will be paid for March and April 2021. Unlike before, eligibility for a subsidy is no longer linked to the employer's principal activity code registered in the Estonian commercial register.
