the Kingdom and it is important to note that the amended labour law
has a number of provisions which are expected to encourage women
working. In this article we examine the main regulations on the
employment of women as well as the amended labour law
provisions.
Women are permitted to work in KSA in accordance with cultural
and religious norms which require that female employees are
segregated from male colleagues in the workplace, with separate
facilities, work stations and work place entrances. It is worth
