في أغسطس 2023، اعتمدت المملكة العربية السعودية اتفاقية الأمم المتحدة بشأن عقود البيع الدولي للبضائع (CISG)، سارية المفعول منذ الأول من سبتمبر 2024. هذه الخطوة تُمثل نقلة نوعية في تحديث القوانين التجارية السعودية وتعزيز انفتاحها على الاقتصاد العالمي. لكن ما هي آثار هذا الاعتماد على الشركات العاملة في المملكة؟

أُعتمدت اتفاقية CISG عام 1980 بهدف توحيد القواعد القانونية المنظمة لعقود بيع البضائع الدولية. وقد برزت الحاجة لهذه الاتفاقية بسبب العولمة المتزايدة واختلاف القوانين الوطنية التي كانت تُعيق التجارة الدولية. تهدف الاتفاقية إلى توفير إطار قانوني موحد، يزيد من القدرة على التنبؤ ويُقلل من عدم اليقين في المعاملات التجارية الدولية. وقد صدقت عليها ما يقارب 100 دولة حول العالم.
