According to a so far unpublished telegram of the State Tax Service, taxpayers who wish to use the option to pay profits tax on a monthly basis (see Tax Alert 2/97) must inform their tax inspectorate before 10 February 1997. As we have not seen the telegram, we cannot say whether this deadline applies if taxpayers want to start using the option this month already, or whether the notification would determine the order of paying profits tax for whole 1997 tax year.
