The Sultanate of Oman is the longest continually independent Arab country in modern history, having marked the 45th anniversary of its establishment last year. Looking to the future the Sultanate's long term strategy, Vision 2020 seeks to support growth, to diversify away from oil and gas and to create employment opportunities for Omanis in the private sector.

The Report: Oman, produced annually by global publishing, research and consultancy firm Oxford Business Group (OBG), offers economic intelligence on the Sultanate, providing international companies with comprehensive analyses of macroeconomic and sectoral developments. In 2016 Dentons has continued its partnership with the OBG, exploring aspects of Oman's legal framework.
