Legitimate Interests

The recent ruling by the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) in Koninklijke Nederlandse Lawn Tennisbond v Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (Case C-621/22) expanded on the adequacy of using legitimate interest and expanded on the EDPB Guidelines on "legitimate interests," by infusing valuable nuances and clarifications, particularly in the context of commercial interests and reasonable expectations.
